Hayman Park

A landmark destination playground developed as part of the Hayman Park upgrade, featuring a bespoke three‑storey glulam play tower, flying fox, and integrated pump track. The project delivers a high‑quality recreational space designed to support community wellbeing and active outdoor use.

Waihoehoe Road Upgrade

A complex infrastructure project involving the replacement of an existing bridge over a live rail corridor, alongside associated road upgrades, safety improvements, and new walking and cycling infrastructure. The works delivered in a constrained and operational environment requiring careful coordination and accurate cost planning.

Puhinui Regeneration – Te Aka Rātā Stages 1 & 2

A major stream regeneration and flood‑control programme aimed at restoring the health of the Puhinui awa and improving water quality flowing into the Manukau Harbour. The project includes stormwater infrastructure upgrades, new wetlands, widened shared paths, boardwalks, and culturally informed design elements developed in collaboration with local iwi.

Catherine Plaza

The Catherine Plaza upgrade is a major public realm revitalisation project in the heart of Henderson Town Centre, transforming an underutilised pedestrian link into a safe, welcoming and vibrant civic space.

The project delivers a redesigned town square incorporating upgraded paving, improved lighting, integrated seating, informal play elements and extensive native planting. The design emphasises Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles, improved sightlines and activation opportunities, while reflecting local identity and mana whenua values.

DVQS provided full Quantity Surveying services, supporting the project from early design cost planning through to construction delivery. Our role ensured robust cost control, clear financial reporting and value-for-money outcomes for a complex urban regeneration project delivered within a live town centre environment.

Hayman Park Pond Repo (Wetland Restoration)

The Hayman Park Pond Repo project forms a key component of the wider Transform Manukau and Puhinui Regeneration programmes, converting legacy stormwater ponds into a naturalised wetland system.

The works include the removal and reshaping of existing ponds, creation of a functional repo (wetland), extensive native planting, improved stormwater treatment, new accessible pathways, upgraded park entrances and integrated cultural and artistic elements. The project enhances water quality, biodiversity and public amenity while restoring the ecological and cultural significance of the site.

DVQS provided full Quantity Surveying services, supporting cost planning, procurement and construction phase financial management. Our involvement helped manage the interface between civil works, landscaping, ecological restoration and public access improvements within a sensitive environmental and culturally significant setting.

Stadium Reserve

This project transformed the old reserve into a vibrant recreational and social hub for Old Papatoetoe, featuring new facilities such as a playground and basketball half court alongside welcoming spaces for community gatherings. New walking and cycling paths were constructed to encourage active transport and provide a safe, direct connection between Papatoetoe and Puhinui train stations.

Cambridge Terrace Extension

The new road is an extension of Cambridge Terrace, continuing alongside Stadium Reserve to meet an upgraded Stadium Lane, which connects with Wallace Road.

It will serve future housing developments, as well as the now upgraded reserve.

Brigham Creek Road & Bridge upgrade

The Brigham Creek Road & Bridge Upgrade is a critical transport infrastructure project supporting growth in North West Auckland and improving connectivity between State Highway 16, State Highway 18 and surrounding growth areas.

The upgrade includes road widening, new bridge, intersection improvements, walking and cycling facilities, safety enhancements and associated drainage and earthworks. 

DVQS provided estimating and tender Schedule of Quantities (SOQ) services.

Ōtāhuhu Town Centre Upgrade

A comprehensive upgrade of Ōtāhuhu’s town centre focused on Great South Road, Station Road, and Mason Avenue. The project improves connectivity between public transport, businesses, community facilities, and public open spaces.

Westgate Town Centre

Westgate Town Centre is a flagship greenfield-to-urban development, transforming the area into a major metropolitan hub for retail, commercial and mixed-use development in Auckland’s north-west.

Public realm and streetscape works within the town centre include new roads, footpaths, landscaping, utilities infrastructure and high-quality urban finishes designed to support long-term growth and activation of the precinct. The development required close coordination between civil works, private development interfaces and live operational environments.

DVQS provided Quantity Surveying and cost management services across multiple stages and packages within the Westgate Town Centre, supporting disciplined cost control, value engineering and successful delivery of major town centre infrastructure.
